If your hub will not come off easily the last thing you want to do is pry it off. If pressure is forced unevenly to the hub, the shaft may bend and ruin the motor by creating massive wow & flutter.
To remove the hub you need to loosen the single allen screw in the side bottom above the flange.
Today I got a little creative and came up with an ugly but effective solution. I am not going to describe in detail how this woks but I will say that the concept is to gradually applied upward pressure from the deck plate pushing up the hub. The first three prototypes had problems but the last one worked like a charm. Enjoy!
